On April 19, 2021, will be present the results of the one year project “CIRCULAR CITIES PROGRAM POLAND”, implemented by the Metabolic Institute together with the INNOWO Institute.
During the program, generously funded by the MAVA Foundation, the municipalities of Krakow, Lublin, and Gdansk collaboratively developed circular strategies to build on existing initiatives, bring long-lasting systemic impact to their cities and ensure a sustainable future. The project conducted a sustainability analysis, including material flow analysis of key sectors, stakeholder assessment and spatial analysis, to uncover actionable insights that can drive the transition to a circular economy. A map of the spatial typology and a list of specific interventions were drawn up. As a result, a long-term circular strategy was created, covering various areas of city management and an action plan ready to be implemented. The results of the work were presented in three reports dedicated to individual cities – for Krakow, Lublin and Gdansk.
During the event will be discuss different approach and different circular strategies with representatives of a few European cities and experts.
